STELLARTS
Born in Istanbul, I developed an interest in cinema and storytelling from an early age. Throughout my childhood and adolescence, I created and developed countless stories in different forms, from small personal narratives and animations to comics. Over time, these interests became areas in which I continuously read, researched, and built knowledge, eventually leading me to pursue filmmaking professionally.
My work is strongly influenced by my interest in sociology, particularly in identity, belonging, human behaviour, and the relationship between individuals and society.
Growing up in Türkiye, I became interested in the potential of its cinema to develop a distinctive dramatic language rooted in its own cultural experience. I have often felt that contemporary Turkish cinema remains within familiar creative networks, while the complexity of Turkish identity and everyday life is still underexplored through character and dramaturgy.
I approach filmmaking as both a creative and observational process, working across directing, cinematography, editing, and visual development. I am interested in stories where social and political realities are experienced through individual lives, rather than simply serving as the message of the film.
Writing is also an important part of my practice. Alongside screenwriting and story development, I write about social and cultural subjects, drawing on sociology to examine the experiences, relationships, and structures that shape everyday life.
I am currently developing independent film projects across narrative cinema, documentary, and experimental forms of visual storytelling.
Working in Turkish, English, and German.
Available for independent film projects, documentary work, screenwriting, and creative collaborations.
